Obituary for John Sai Wong 黄德坤先生

John Sai  Wong 黄德坤先生
It is with great sadness that the family of John Sai Wong黄德坤先生, announce his passing on February 27th, 2018. John is survived by his wife of 45 years, Helen and his children, Cynthia (Bin), Samantha (Corey), and Michael (Nina). He will be missed by his six grandchildren, Ethan, Jason, Alex, Erik, Mason, and Mia.

John was born in Saigon, Vietnam where he worked as an electrician before coming to Philadelphia in 1979. He continued to work as a general contractor, fixing, installing, and building anything and everything he could. Always one to drop everything and help family and friends, he will be missed. John enjoyed spending time with family, traveling, dining out, and playing Mahjong with friends (passing on the love of the game to his grandchildren).

John is resting at the Choi Funeral Home. The family will receive friends for an evening visitation on March 15th, 2018 at Choi Funeral Home, 247 North 12th Street, Philadelphia, 6:00-9:00pm. Ceremony and service to begin at Choi Funeral Home March 16th, 2018, 9:00-10:30am, followed by internment at Hillside Cemetery, 2556 Susquehanna Road, Roslyn, PA. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in John’s name to the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center in thanks for their care and support.
