My dad is a man of few words but his love for his children, my brother and I, was immense and deep.  Often times, my dad would show how much he loves us by stockpiling our favorite foods.  As a child, my favorite cereal was Triples.  One year, he found out that General Mills was going to discontinue this cereal line.  My dad proceeded to clean out the supermarket shelves of Triples cereal and stockpiled the inventory in the basement.  I had enough cereal to last me more than 6 months.  It was sufficient to say that I got my fix of Triples.
